Major construction for the 3-phased project began in September, 2007 with a $495,000 federal appropriation and another $500,000 of cash and in-kind donations from our generous supporters.
- Phase One consisted of adding 16,740 of space to the existing 10,000 square foot warehouse and was designed with higher ceilings and a vastly improved loading dock.
- Phase Two addresses the lack of cooler space by adding 60,000 cubic feet of freezer and refrigerator space. This allows us to use our refrigerated trailers for transit rather than cold storage.
- Phase Three will add 2,000 square feet of desperately needed office space as well as renovation of our existing offices to accommodate our ever increasing staff.
